The Wildlife Park

Just around the corner, and I mean just. around. the. corner, is a large wildlife refuge/park.  It has acres of natural wildlife habitats and twice a day you can take a guided tour of the park.  During this time they feed the animals so you are sure to see them.  Bears, wolves, foxes, bobcats, all types of birds of prey, beavers, otters and much more.  We particularly enjoyed watching the bears watching us.  "Oh look!" they said to each other, "Here are all those two legged creatures again!"

We took the tour (not required), which lasted about 2 1/2 hours.  The park also has two playground areas and is just finishing an additional castle themed amusement park size play area.  The park offered us a significant discount on a season pass which we purchased.  We can literally walk there and the play area itself would be worth visiting many more times.
It was during this visit to the Wildlife Park that we got one of our new favorite "family inside phrases".  At the very start Landon came face to face with a rather large goat.  They eyed each other through the fence and Landon said, "Hello Goat! Do you like Landons?"  :) So cute.  Now when you hear us saying that you will know where it originated!
